WESTMINSTER, Calif. (Feb. 9, 2023) – Tri Dinh Tran, 84, and Kim Tuyen Thi Vu, 79, both of Westminster, are among three people who died in a Westminster crash at Beach Boulevard and Hazard Avenue.
Victoria McKemy, 75, of Buena Park, also died in the collision, according to Commander Kevin MacCormick of the Westminster Police Department.
Authorities reported a minivan occupied by two of the people was speeding northbound in the southbound lanes of Beach Boulevard when it crashed into three other vehicles. The collision occurred about 12:51 p.m. on Feb. 6th, police said.
The driver of the minivan died at the scene and a female passenger from the vehicle died at UC Irvine Medical Center.
Also, the driver of one of the other vehicles died Wednesday at UC Irvine Medical Center after suffering a serious leg injury.
An investigation is underway to determine what led up to the collision.
