Motorcyclist Injured in Accident on Highway 198
KING CITY, MONTEREY COUNTY (June 5, 2018)– According to the California Highway Patrol, an injurious collision was reported Tuesday afternoon on Highway 198 between a semi-truck truck and a motorcycle.
The accident transpired at precisely 12:34 p.m. prompting the arrival of the California Highway Patrol.
Rider Airlifted to Hospital
While the cause of the accident remains unclear, the motorcyclist who remains unidentified sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a medical center by air flight ambulance, according to the dispatch report.
No details were provided on the driver of the big rig as authorities remained present at the scene as of 2:10 p.m.
Traffic was congested resulting in motorists traveling on Highway 198 to experienced delays for at least an hour.
