
1 Killed, 1 Seriously Injured in Kings County Crash Near 10th and Niles Avenues
KINGS COUNTY, CA (January 24, 2023) – A crash killed one person and seriously injured another near 10th Avenue and Niles Avenue in Kings County.
According to an article published by the FOX 26 News, the tragic accident took place on Tuesday evening. Officers reported the wreck on January 24 at around 6:53 p.m.
The incident happened when two cars collided for an unknown reason, just west of Corcoran, in Kings County. The vehicles crashed near the intersection of 10th and Niles avenues.
2 Cars Collide
The California Highway Patrol described the cars as a Ford Escape and a Toyota Camry. The Ford became engulfed in flames due to the impact of the collision.
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and soon pronounced the driver of the Toyota dead at the scene. Good Samaritans rescued the motorist in the Escape from the burning wreckage.
Medical personnel then rushed the patient to the Community Regional Medical Center for treatment. The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the area of 10th and Niles avenues to shut down for a time following the wreck. The cause of the fatal Kings County crash is still under investigation.
