1 Killed, 5 Injured in Kings County Crash Near Highway 41 and Quebec Avenue
KINGS COUNTY, CA (September 11, 2022) – A crash killed one person and injured several others near Highway 41 and Quebec Avenue in Kings County.
According to The Fresno Bee and ABC 30 News, the tragic accident took place on Sunday evening. Officers reported the wreck at about 7 p.m.
The incident happened when a Toyota Camry tried to pass on a curve on Highway 41 near Quebec Avenue in Kings County. The California Highway Patrol said the car then crossed over a solid double yellow line.
2 Cars Collide
In the process, the car slammed head-on into a blue van, just north of Kettleman City. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and soon confirmed that one individual died.
A total of five people ended up hurt as a result of the collision. Four patients sustained major injuries while the fifth survived with moderate injuries.
Medical personnel rushed the victims to the hospital for treatment. The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released.
Meanwhile, CHP forced a stretch of Highway 41 to shut down for a time following the wreck. The cause of the fatal Kings County crash is still under investigation.
