Pedestrian and Dog Killed in Kings County Crash on 16th Road Near 16th Avenue
KINGS COUNTY, CA (June 3, 2022) – A crash killed a pedestrian and a dog on 16th Road near Lemoore in Kings County.
According to an article published by the ABC 30 News, the tragic accident took place on Friday night. Officers reported the collision at around 8:45 p.m.
The California Highway Patrol said a vehicle struck a male pedestrian and his dog for an unknown reason in Kings County. The car hit them as they walked on 16th Road, east of 16th Avenue.

Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and then found the 45-year-old man down on the ground. They also located the dog lying in the roadway as a result of the incident.
Medical personnel soon pronounced both the man and the dog dead at the scene. The name of the deceased person has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the victims. Officers forced a stretch of 16th Road to shut down for a time following the accident.
The cause of the fatal Kings County pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
