Motorcyclist Killed in Kingsburg Crash Near Road 24 and State Route 201
KINGSBURG, CA (August 25, 2022) – A crash killed a motorcyclist near Road 24 and State Route 201 in Kingsburg.
According to an article published by Your Central Valley, the tragic accident took place on Thursday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck shortly after 3:30 p.m.
The incident happened when a 34-year-old man was riding a motorcycle west on State Route 201, approaching Road 24, east of Kingsburg.
At the same time, a pickup truck was going south on Road 24. The California Highway Patrol said the car entered the intersection and then tried to make a left turn.
Motorcycle and Car Collide
In the process, the two collided. The pickup truck had a controlled stop at Road 24 the motorcyclist did not have a stop sign when they crashed.
The rider ended up ejected off his bike as a result of the collision. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and soon pronounced him dead at the scene.
The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. CHP did not mention if the 70-year-old man driving the car sustained any wound upon impact.
Officers forced the area of Road 24 and State Route 201 to shut down for a time following the wreck. The cause of the fatal Kingsburg crash is still under investigation.
