1 Hospitalized After 2-Truck Crash on Highway 99 Monday
Kingsburg, CA (May 4, 2021) – At least one person suffered injuries following a traffic accident on Highway 99 Monday evening, the ABC30 News reported.
On May 3, at approximately 8 p.m., a collision involving two big rigs occurred in the northbound side of SR-99.
Preliminary investigation revealed a truck was parked on the shoulder of the highway, just south of Mountain View Avenue in Kingsburg. For reasons still unclear, a second semi slammed into the back of the parked truck.
The force from the impact resulted in significant damages to the two big rigs.

When medical personnel arrived, they immediately rendered aid to the driver of the semi that rear-ended the parked truck. Our sources confirmed the operator of the semi sustained major injuries as a result of the incident.
A helicopter reportedly landed near the crash site, then transported the injured driver to a hospital for treatment. Authorities continue to withhold the name of the patient pending confirmation.
Meanwhile, officials mentioned the parked truck had no occupants at the time of the crash.
Further investigation on the big rig accident in Kingsburg is underway.
