Passengers Stuck in Vehicle in Crash on Highway 101
KLAMATH, Calif. (August 27, 2024) — A two-vehicle car accident happened Friday afternoon in Klamath California on the Highway 101 also known as Redwood Highway.
The traffic accident occurred at around 2:52 PM Friday afternoon on August 23, 2024, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A red Toyota Tacoma and a Dodge Caravan collided into one another in Klamath California. It was a head on collision in which left the party in the SUV stuck inside their vehicle. Both vehicles became major traffic hazards in both lanes of the Highway 101.
Due to the impact of the crash, the red Tacoma was reported by the CHP to have lost a tire. In addition the Dodge Caravan had experienced major front end damage. Tow trucks were needed on the scene to remove the damaged vehicles from the roadway to restore the normal flow of traffic.
Paramedics responded and located those with injuries and transported them to a nearby hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
Investigators are working to determine who is at fault for the accident in Klamath California on Highway 101 in Del Norte County.
