Kolby Aipa, 20, Identified as Victim in Fatal E-Bike Crash in Huntington Beach

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. (August 7, 2025) — Authorities have identified the young man who died in an e-bike accident over the weekend in Huntington Beach as 20-year-old Kolby Aipa, a local resident.

The crash occurred shortly after 10 p.m. Saturday, August 2nd near the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and Seapoint Street, according to the Huntington Beach Police Department.

Investigators say Aipa was riding an e-bike while holding onto a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck being driven by another 20-year-old Huntington Beach man. The driver lost control of the vehicle, leading to a collision between the truck and the e-bike.

Aipa sustained serious injuries and later died as a result of the crash.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
