Krystina Gutierrez, 33, Killed in Ontario Car Crash on 60 Freeway
ONTARIO (January 1, 2019) – A passenger killed after a traffic collision along the 60 Freeway on Saturday has been identified as Krystina Gutierrez, according to coroner’s office.
The 33-year-old Fontana woman was a victim of the accident which took place on December 29 just before 8:40 p.m. between Haven Avenue and Archibald Avenue
As per the KTLA and The Press Enterprise, California Highway Patrol said a white 1999 Volkswagen Jetta was headed west on the 60 freeway when it reportedly merged from the No. 3 to the No. 4 lane.
Jose Lopez, 25, Dead in Ontario Crash on 60 Freeway
The car suddenly turned right and crossed the No 5 lane before going off the roadway. The Jetta went airborne and ultimately struck a palm tree.
Officials affirmed that the male driver, 25-year-old Riverside resident Jose Lopez, was ejected from the vehicle as a result of the crash. He and his female passenger, named as Gutierrez, were pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident remains under investigation but authorities determined that the car was traveling at approximately 80 mph prior to impact.
