Kurtis Belkin, 26; and Liza Ramirez, 44, Seriously Injured in Stanislaus County Crash on Grayson
STANISLAUS COUNTY, CA (October 19, 2021) – Kurtis Belkin and Liza Ramirez were seriously injured after a fatal crash on Grayson Road in Stanislaus County.
The California Highway Patrol identified the 26-year-old man and the 44-year-old woman as victims of the wreck which happened last week on Friday.
The incident began when Kurtis Belkin was driving a Dodge Durango west on Grayson Road in Stanislaus County with Liza Ramirez as his passenger.
At the same time, a Dodge Caliber was going east. CHP said for an unknown reason, the Caliber turned to the left into the westbound lane.
Antonio Del Toro, 33, Killed in Head-On Crash
In the process, the Caliber slammed head-on into the Durango. The Modesto Bee wrote that the two cars crashed just east of Quisenberry Road.
Kurtis Belkin and Liza Ramirez sustained major injuries as a result of the crash. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and then rushed them to hospitals for treatment.
The driver of the Caliber, 33-year-old Delhi resident Antonio del Toro, died at the scene. The collision took place on October 15 at about 7:05 p.m.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the stretch of Grayson Road to shut down for several hours following the wreck. The cause of the Stanislaus crash is still under investigation.
