Kurtis Haynes Killed in Pedestrian Accident at 405 Freeway in Long Beach

Man, 40, Killed on Long Beach Freeway Transition Road Identified
LONG BEACH, Calif. (June 25, 2025) – Kurtis Haynes, 40, was struck and killed Tuesday night in a pedestrian accident on a freeway transition road near the 405 and 710 in Long Beach.
The California Highway Patrol responded to the scene around 8:55 p.m. on June 24th, 2025.
The victim was reportedly struck on a connector road between the northbound San Diego (405) Freeway and the southbound Long Beach (710) Freeway. Two vehicles that were likely involved in the collision were stopped at the scene, police said.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office identified the victim who died on scene as Kurtis Haynes.
The case remains under investigation by the CHP.
