Helendale Man, 27, Killed in Crash on National Trails Highway
ORO GRANDE, Calif. (Oct. 20, 2022) — Kyle Sesslerm, 27. of Helendale, died and two people were injured in a collision Oct. 14th on National Trails Highway in Oro Grande.
The collision occurred about 12:15 p.m. on October 14, 2022, just north of Polish Lane across from the CalPortland Cement Factory.
Kyle Sesslerm was reportedly driving northbound in a silver Kia Spectra at a high rate of speed.
Meanwhile, a 36-year-old woman and a 3-year-old girl were heading southbound in a white BMW 340, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Authorities believe the Kia abruptly turned left in front of the BMW and collided with the front of the car. Both vehicles veered off the roadway and came to a stop on the west shoulder.
San Bernardino County Fire sent paramedics to the scene, but sadly the driver from the Kia died at the scene. Also, a helicopter to airlifted the child to Loma Linda University Medical Center. She was treated for moderate injuries. Finally, the Helendale woman driving the BMW was also taken to a hospital with major injuries.
Investigators with the CHP Victorville station are working on the case and they are asking witnesses to call 760-241-1186.
