LA CANADA FLINTRIDGE, California (January 5, 2017) — A man was struck by a vehicle Thursday morning after he pulled over and stepped out of his vehicle on the State Route Glendale 2 Freeway at Foothill Boulevard, according to a California Highway Patrol report.
The crash took place about 8:47 a.m. this morning. The report stated that there were vehicles in the center divider after the crash. The injured man was standing in the center divider area with a bleeding head when paramedics arrived.
A female driver pulled over on the right shoulder. A blue Ford Mustang was blocking the slow lane and a tan Ford sedan was on the right shoulder.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to help those who were hurt and closed down Foothill Boulevard near the scene of the crash. The extent of the man’s injuries was not disclosed, but it appears they were no major.
Police are heading up an investigation into the crash to determine liability.
