
Multi-Vehicle Car Accident on SR-125 in La Mesa
LA MESA, Calif. (Jan. 31, 2025) — A major injury crash in La Mesa happened Thursday on state Route 125, just north of the Interstate 8 Freeway in San Diego County.
The traffic accident occurred around 4:09 p.m. on Jan. 31st, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported a white Honda Civic, a gray Toyota Tacoma pickup truck, and a red Mazda were blocking traffic lanes following a collision. The Mazda was reportedly hit twice and two vehicles were sideways across the roadway.
Emergency crews responded and located a woman trapped in a vehicle and a male with a broken ankle who both required medical assistance.
Tow trucks removed the damaged vehicles and police issued a SigAlert due to the crash.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the crash on state Route 125 in La Mesa.
