
2 Women Injured in Collision Near Jackson Drive
La Mesa, CA (March 3, 2023) – Two people suffered injuries following a head-on car crash that occurred on Lake Murray Boulevard Friday, March 3.
The San Diego Union-Tribune News reported a 49-year-old woman was behind the wheel of a 1966 Ford Mustang heading south on Lake Murray Boulevard. Officials mentioned a 19-year-old woman was sitting in the passenger seat of the Mustang.
When the Mustang approached the area near Jackson Drive, the driver crossed into oncoming traffic. Our sources indicated the driver continued traveling the wrong-way until it collided head-on into a silver 2008 Subaru Impreza.
Major Car Accident on Lake Murray Boulevard in La Mesa
The article published online mentioned the driver and passenger in the Mustang both suffered major injuries as a result of the incident. Per local news source, responding paramedics rushed the two injured woman to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries–including head trauma; a broken arm; internal bleeding; and facial and orbital fractures.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Subaru appeared unharmed after the crash.
Preliminary investigation revealed alcohol or drugs possibly contributed to the car accident. At this time, detectives continue to work to determine the precise cause of the collision that happened on Lake Murray Boulevard in La Mesa.
