At Least 1 Injured in Car Accident on Highway 125 Thursday
La Mesa, CA (May 13, 2021) – A suspected hit-and-run car crash occurred Thursday on State Route 125 in La Mesa, the California Highway Patrol group reported.
Officials said two vehicles collided in the northbound side of SR-125 near the Interstate 8 Freeway connecting ramp. Initial records indicated a white Lexus sedan ended up hitting trees along the highway during the crash.

When emergency crews arrived at the location, the second vehicle involved in the wreck was missing. Witnesses last saw the hit-and-run heading towards El Cajon Boulevard after the incident.
Responding medical personnel checked the condition of all the occupants in the Lexus. After the evaluation, authorities confirmed at least one person sustained injuries as a result of the collision.
Additional details on the wreck have not been revealed thus far. At this time, detectives assigned to handle the case continue to work to determine several unclear factors in the hit-and-run car crash in La Mesa.
