3 Drivers Hospitalized After Car Accident on SR-125 Near Lemon Avenue Wednesday
La Mesa, CA (December 10, 2020) – Multiple people suffered injuries following a traffic collision on State Route 125 Wednesday morning, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported.
Preliminary investigation revealed the driver of a Honda Accord lost control of the car while heading north on SR-125. As a result, the Honda crashed into the center divider of the highway and came to rest in the opposite lanes. The accident took place just south of Lemon Avenue.
According to the news article published online, the driver of the Honda exited their car and left the scene.
Moments later, three passing motorists struck the abandoned Honda. Officials briefly identified the drivers involved in the wreck as a a 25-year-old woman driving a Toyota RAV4, a 50-year-old man driving a BMW 325 and a 47-year-old man driving a Cadillac Escalade.
Our sources confirmed all three drivers suffered injuries as a result of the collision. Responding paramedics transported the patients to Sharp Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, no immediate information was available on the driver of the Honda. The name of the hit-and-run suspect and their location at this time remained unknown.
Detectives assigned to handle the case continue to investigate several factors surrounding the car crash in La Mesa.
