Motorcyclist Injured in Accident on I-8 Freeway
LA MESA, Calif. (Sept. 1, 2023) — A La Mesa motorcycle crash happened Friday morning on the westbound Interstate 8 Freeway to the northbound State Route 125.
The two-vehicle collision occurred around 6:32 a.m. on Sept. 1st, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The report stated a driver in a blue Dodge Charger and a motorcycle rider collided as they were attempting to merge. The rider was conscious after being knocked down in the right-hand lane, but suffered injuries including “bleeding and a lot of road rash,” the report said.
Paramedics responded to the scene to help the injured motorcyclist, but it’s unknown if the person was transported to a hospital.
Meanwhile, a tow truck removed the damaged bike from the freeway.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the La Mesa motorcycle crash on the Interstate 8 Freeway.
