Fatal Pedestrian Accident Involving School Bus
LA PUENTE, Calif. (May 9, 2023) – A school bus struck and killed a pedestrian Monday in La Puente at Fairgrove Avenue and Hacienda Boulevard.
The deadly crash occurred around 2:20 p.m. on Monday, May 8th, just west of Fairgrove Middle School, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The LACFD sent paramedics to the La Puente intersection where they located the severely-injured woman, but sadly she died at the scene. The woman’s name and age were not released, but she was described as elderly in news reports.
Meanwhile, there were children aboard the school bus at the time of the crash, but none reported any injuries.
The California Highway Patrol is heading up the investigation into the fatal pedestrian accident in La Puente.
