2 Injured in La Quinta Crash on Avenue 48 Near Caleo Bay
LA QUINTA, CA (June 2, 2023) – Two were hospitalized after a crash on Avenue 48 near Caleo Bay in La Quinta.
According to an article published by The Desert Sun, the accident took place on Tuesday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck on May 30 at about 2:42 p.m.
The incident happened when two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in La Quinta. The Riverside County Fire Department said the cars crashed on Avenue 48 near Caleo Bay.
2 Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and freed at least one trapped occupant from the wreckage. A total of three people ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
One patient sustained moderate injuries while the other two survived with minor injuries. Medical personnel then rushed the victims to a hospital for treatment.
The report did not disclose the names of all the wounded parties and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, officers forced a stretch of Avenue 48 to shut down near Caleo Bay following the wreck.
The cause of the La Quinta crash is still under investigation.
