LA QUINTA, California (July 3, 2014) –Robert Carian, 32, of La Quinta fled the scene of a solo-vehicle crash and was subsequently arrested on DUI charges, according to a press release by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
About 11:20 p.m. on Wednesday, July 2, La Quinta Police officers reported a single-vehicle, non-injury car accident at Washington Street and Sagebrush.
The driver had abandoned his Ford F-150 pickup truck at the scene after losing control of the vehicle and hitting a light police. Police say the man fled on foot, but was apprehended a short distance away where it was determined he was under the influence of alcohol and or drugs.
The driver was identified as Robert Carian. He was booked into Riverside County jail in Indio, California.
La Quinta police are heading up an investigation into the accident.
