Pedestrian Seriously Injured in La Quinta Crash at Avenue 53 and Monroe Street
LA QUINTA, CA (April 21, 2023) – A pedestrian was seriously injured after a crash at Avenue 53 and Monroe Street in La Quinta.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place early Saturday. Officers reported the collision on April 15 at around 2:25 a.m.
The incident happened a limousine car struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in La Quinta. The vehicle hit the person at the intersection of Avenue 53 and Monroe Street.
Victim Hit by Car
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found the victim who ended up suffering from major injuries as a result of the accident.
Medical personnel then rushed the patient to a hospital for treatment. The report did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the driver of the limousine stopped or stayed at the site following the incident. Officers forced the area of Avenue 53 and Monroe Street to shut down after the collision.
The cause of the La Quinta pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
