Pedestrian Injured in La Riviera Crash at Mira Del Rio and Linda Rio
LA RIVERA, CA (November 19, 2021) – A pedestrian was hospitalized after a DUI crash at Mira Del Rio and Linda Rio drives in La Riviera.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident took place on Friday night. Officers reported the collision at about 9:09 p.m.
The incident happened when a vehicle struck the pedestrian in the La Riviera area of Sacramento County. The driver hit the person at the intersection of Mira Del Rio and Linda Rio drives.
Victim Hit by Possible DUI Driver
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Riviera Park. The victim ended up suffering from minor injuries as a result of the collision.
Officiala then took the patient to the UC Davis Medical Center for treatment. The report did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP believed that the motorist was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident. They did not mention if the suspect stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the victim.
Officers forced the Corner of Mira Del Rio and Linda Rio drives to close following the crash. The La Riviera pedestrian accident is still under investigation.
