4 Injured in 2-Vehicle Accident in Pacoima
PACOIMA, Calif. (Sept. 12, 2023) — A pickup truck and an LAFD ambulance were involved in a crash Sunday on Van Nuys Boulevard at San Fernando Road in Pacoima.
The two-vehicle collision left four people injured, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
It happened around 12:35 a.m. on Sept. 10th at the Pacoima intersection in front of 13260 West Van Nuys Boulevard.
A driver and passenger in a pickup truck collided with the ambulance as well as a utility pole at the intersection. The ambulance was on its way to an emergency at the time of the accident.
The two male passengers from the pickup truck were transported to a regional trauma center in critical condition, the LAFD report said.
Meanwhile, the two male paramedics from the ambulance suffered minor to moderate injuries in the collision. They were also treated at a hospital.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the ambulance crash on Van Nuys Boulevard.
