Woman Fatally Struck by Vehicle Near Mountain Road
Laguna Beach, CA (March 11, 2023) – A pedestrian died following a traffic accident that occurred on South Coast Highway Friday, March 10.
My News LA and CBS News reported a sedan struck a female party on the highway near Mountain Road in Laguna Beach. The horrible crash took place around 6:25 p.m.
According to the articles published online, the woman attempted to walk across South Coast Highway. While in the traffic lanes, a passing car hit the pedestrian.
Pedestrian Killed in Laguna Beach Accident
Emergency crews later arrived and rendered aid to the woman found suffering in injuries. Despite life-saving measures performed by paramedics, the victim sadly succumbed to her injuries and passed away. Authorities continue to withhold the identity of the deceased pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Officials mentioned the driver involved in the unfortunate event stayed and cooperated with the investigation process. At this time, detectives continue to investigate liability in the deadly accident that happened on South Coast Highway in Laguna Beach.
