Motorcyclist Critical After Crash on Solana Way Sunday
Laguna Beach, CA (August 24, 2020) – A motorcycle rider suffered serious injuries in a traffic accident that occurred at the intersection of Solana Way and South Coast Highway.
The Daily Pilot News reported the motorcyclist collided with a passenger vehicle at the Laguna Beach crossing around 4:58 p.m.
When emergency teams arrived at the location, they found the rider ejected from his bike. The unidentified motorcyclist was thrown across three lanes of traffic, officials said.

An Orange County Sheriff’s Department helicopter reportedly airlifted the patient to Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo. Medical personnel eventually listed the patient in critical condition.
Meanwhile, authorities mentioned the force from the impact caused the passenger vehicle to careen into the the Casa Laguna Hotel. Subsequently, a building inspector from the city responded to check the structural integrity of the pillar hit by the car.
No other injuries were reported in the mishap.
Investigators handling the case continue to work to determine the precise cause of the crash.
