2 Injured in Crash on I-5 at Alicia Parkway in South Orange County
ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. (August 2, 2024) — A major injury Laguna Hills crash happened Thursday morning on the southbound Interstate 5 Freeway on the Alicia Parkway off ramp.
At least two people were hurt in the collision around 10:43 a.m. on August 1st, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported two people in a white Mini Cooper were badly injured in the collision involving construction equipment as witnesses said the vehicle exited the freeway at “high speed,” the report said.
The car reportedly overturned after it crashed into the equipment on the left side of the off ramp. The airbags were deployed, but “both parties in the vehicle not very responsive and one party with blue lips,” the report said.
Paramedics responded and apparently took the patients to a hospital due to major injuries.
Finally, investigators are working to determine liability for the Laguna Hills crash on the 5 Freeway.
