Major Injury Motorcycle Crash on I-5 in South Orange County
ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. (August 15, 2024) — A Laguna Hills motorcycle accident happened Thursday on the southbound Interstate 5 Freeway, just north of El Toro Road in Orange County.
The multi-vehicle collision occurred at around 6:03 a.m. on August 15th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The motorcyclist went down in the No. 2 lane after possibly colliding with a dark grey Toyota sedan and or a white SUV. The blue 2014 Suzuki bike reportedly crashed into the center divide.
Several vehicles stopped after the collision including a good Samaritan in a blue Toyota RAV4 SUV who was blocking the rider from oncoming traffic.
Paramedics responded to help the motorcycle rider who suffered major injuries, but was “coherent,” the report said. They transported the unidentified man to Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the Laguna Hills motorcycle accident.
