LAKE ALMANOR, California (Thursday, July 2, 2015) – A two-vehicle collision between a Chevy SUV and a PT Cruiser sparked a fire on State Route Highway 36 and County Road A-13, leaving the turning lane partially blocked.
The accident took place at 7:40 p.m. in front of the Lake Almanor Snowmobile Park according to a California Highway Patrol report. The injured party managed to extricate himself from the burning vehicle. Officers called a tow truck from the nearby airport to help clear the scene, as an ambulance transported the patient to Seneca Hospital for care and observation.
