One Critically Injured in 2-Vehicle Crash
LAKE BALBOA, Calif. (August 14, 2023) – Four adults and two children were injured in a Lake Balboa car accident Saturday on Victory Boulevard near Hayvenhurst Avenue.
One person was critically injured in the two-vehicle collision around 10:16 a.m. on August 12th the 16500 block of West Victory Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. It happened between Balboa Boulevard and Woodley Avenue near the golf course.
One car with five people and another car occupied by one person collided due to unknown circumstances.
First responders rushed to the crash scene and located people who were trapped in a vehicle who required extrication, the LAFD reported. Two men, two women and two children were injured in the collision.
Additionally, there was one person with major injuries, three people in fair to serious condition and two with minor, non-life-threatening injuries, the report said. Six people were taken to a hospital for treatment.
LAFD officials said the injured people were two men, two women and two children. Five were from one vehicle and one was in a second vehicle.
Meanwhile, tow trucks removed at least one of the damaged vehicles from the roadway.
Finally, investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the car accident on Victory Boulevard.
