2-Vehicle Crash in Lake Elsinore on the I-15 Freeway
LAKE ELSINORE, Calif. (August 29, 2022) — A two-vehicle crash in Lake Elsinore happened Monday morning on the Interstate 15 Freeway, just north of Lake Street.
The collision occurred in the northbound lanes about 8:22 a.m. on August 29th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the drivers of a gray Toyota Camry and a gray Toyota Scion XB collided due to unknown circumstances in the No. 2 lane. The Scion wound up facing the wrong way in traffic lanes and the Toyota is in the center divider. One person became trapped in the wreckage. One of the vehicles had major front-end damage and the other had rear-end damage.
Paramedics with the Riverside County Fire Department responded to help those injured in the crash, but there are no further details.
Both vehicles required a tow truck due to damage from the crash.
Investigators will determine fault for the Lake Elsinore crash.
