Injured Woman Airlifted to Hospital
LAKE ELSINORE, California (May 30, 2023) — A two-vehicle Lake Elsinore crash happened on Memorial Day in the 34400 block of Ortega Highway at Rocky Road.
The collision occurred around 8:30 p.m. on Monday, May 29th in unincorporated Lake Elsinore, according to a report by the Riverside County Fire Department and CHP officials.
The drivers of a car and an SUV were involved in the wreck. It’s unknown at this time what led up to the collision that left a woman was trapped in one of the vehicles.
The Riverside County Fire Department responded and used hydraulic tools to extricate the woman from her vehicle. She was transported by air ambulance to a hospital in undisclosed condition.
Meanwhile, tow trucks responded to remove both vehicles due to major damage, according to the report.
The CHP is heading up the investigation into liability for the Lake Elsinore crash on Ortega Highway.
