At Least 1 Killed in Collision Near Railroad Canyon Road and Diamond Drive Friday
Lake Elsinore, CA (January 28, 2022) – One person died following a traffic accident that occurred on the Interstate 15 Freeway Friday evening.
The Riverside County Fire Department News reported a semi truck and a passenger vehicle collided in the southbound side of the freeway. Officials said the catastrophic incident took place in the area near Railroad Canyon Road and Diamond Drive.
Shortly after 9:19 p.m., emergency teams arrived at the location. First responders found one person unconscious. Despite life-saving measures, the victim sadly succumbed to their injuries and died. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Several factors surrounding the unfortunate event have not been discussed thus far. At this time, detectives continue to investigate the precise cause of the deadly accident on Interstate 15 in Lake Elsinore.
