1 Killed After Motorcycle and Car Collide on Ortega Highway
LAKE ELSINORE (August 20, 2017) – A fatal head-on collision took place Sunday morning on Ortega Highway, also known as Highway 74, according to The Press Enterprise.
The accident was reported just before 10 a.m. near Tenaja Falls Trail, about 10 minutes west of the Ortega Oaks Candy Store and Goods.
As per the article, California Highway Patrol said a motorcyclist was going east while the SUV was traveling west on the Ortega Highway when for an unknown reason the two collided head-on.

Officials affirmed that at least one person was confirmed to have been killed following the crash. The name of the deceased has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, the report did not specify if the fatality was the motorcycle rider or an occupant of the vehicle. All lanes were between Ortega Falls and the Candy Store were opened as of 1 p.m., after they were briefly blocked as authorities conducted their investigation.
