The collision took place at 8:15 p.m. in the Lakeland Village neighborhood area on Grand Avenue.
Per the article, Ford sadly died roughly 30 minutes after initially being struck by the motorist.
It was unclear whether or not the driver of the vehicle who struck Ford remained at the scene and the sequence of events that took place leading up to the collision.
Press-Enterprise reported that Grand Avenue remained shut down for up to five hours between Sangston Drive and Winward Way.
