1 Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash Near Lake Forest Drive and Canada Road
LAKE FOREST, CA (November 12, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash killed one person near Lake Forest Drive and Canada Road.
According to the CBS Los Angeles and My News LA, the tragic accident took place on Thursday evening. Officers reported the wreck on November 11 at 7:50 p.m. in Lake Forest.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Department said at least two vehicles collided for an unknown reason. They crashed near the intersection of Lake Forest Drive and Canada Road.
2 Vehicles Collide in Lake Forest
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They confirmed that a driver involved died as a result of the collision.
The name of the deceased victim has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, deputies affirmed that the other motorist did not stop to help and then fled the area.
They described the car as a dark-colored compact vehicle. Officers forced the corner of Lake Forest and Canada to shut down following the wreck.
The cause of the fatal hit-and-run crash is still under investigation. Anyone with information can call the deputies at 949-770-6011.
