Driver, 50, Killed in Car Accident Near Lake Los Angeles Avenue Monday
Lake Los Angeles, CA (May 11, 2021) – On May 10, Monday, a 50-year-old man died following a car crash on 170th Street East.

Preliminary investigation revealed the fatal victim was driving a 1996 GMC Sierra pickup heading north on 170th Street East. When the GMC approached the area near Lake Los Angeles Avenue, the driver allowed the vehicle to veer into the opposite traffic lanes.
According to the Antelope Valley Times, the GMC crashed head-on into a 2008 Freightliner Cascadia. The force from the impact resulted in fatal injuries to the GMC driver. Responding paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene. Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities identified the truck operator as 30-year-old Thomas F. Thomas of Lancaster. The big rig driver appeared unharmed after the unfortunate event.
Investigators handling the case continue to work to determine the precise cause of the fatal car crash on 170th Street in Lake Los Angeles.
