Deadly Crash on East Avenue O in Lake Los Angeles
LAKE LOS ANGELES, Calif. (August 22, 2022) — A fatal crash in Lake Los Angeles happened Monday afternoon at East Avenue O and 240th Street East.
The two-vehicle crash occurred about 1:20 p.m. on August 22nd, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials responded to the intersection at 23025 East Avenue O. Also, the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to help those hurt in the crash, but sadly Miguel Amaya, 33, of Palmdale, died at the crash scene.
Authorities say the Palmdale man’s 2015 Nissan was traveling westbound on East Avenue O when an eastbound driver in a Honda identified as Clarenda Razon, 37, of Lancaster, crossed over into the westbound lane.
Miguel Amaya suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene, but Clarenda Razon survived with major injuries and transported to the Antelope Valley Hospital for treatment.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault. Witnesses may call the CHP Antelope Valley Area office at 661-948-8541.
