1 Killed, 1 Injured in Head-On Collision Near Jackson Drive
Lake Murray, CA (November 19, 2022) – One person died, and another suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on Mission Gorge Road.
The San Diego Union-Tribune News reported two vehicles collided head-on in the 9000 block of Mission Gorge near Jackson Drive. Preliminary investigation revealed an 85-year-old woman was behind the wheel of a 2018 Toyota Corolla traveling west on Mission George. For reasons still unclear, the Corolla veered into the opposite lane and drove into the path of a westbound 2021 Toyota Venza.
Officials said the two cars crashed head-on into each other at about 5:20 p.m.
Deadly Car Accident on Mission Gorge Road in Lake Murray
When medical personnel arrived at the site, they immediately rendered aid to both drivers. Paramedics rushed the two injured parties to a hospital. According to the article published online, the 85-year-old woman driving the Corolla sadly succumbed to her trauma and eventually passed away.
Meanwhile, the 70-year-old driver of the Venza received medical aid for pain to the chest, neck and back.
Detectives handling the case continue to investigate the precise cause of the deadly car accident that happened on Mission Gorge Road in Lake Murray.
