Bicycle Rider Injured in Lake Wildwood Crash at Wildflower and Pleasant Valley
NEVADA COUNTY, CA (August 18, 2021) – A crash injured a bicycle rider at Wildflower Drive and Pleasant Valley Road in Lake Wildwood.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident took place on Wednesday morning. Officers reported the incident at about 10:47 a.m.
According to CHP, a vehicle struck the bicyclist for an unknown reason in the Lake Wildwood area of Nevada County. The two collided at the intersection of Wildflower Drive and Pleasant Valley Road.
Bicyclist Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Lake Wildwood Community Center. They found the cyclist hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then provided treatment to the rider who sustained minor injuries in the accident. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded patient and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the driver stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the bicyclist. Officers forced the intersection of Wildflower and Pleasant Valley to close following the bicycle collision.
Authorities are still determining the cause of the Lake Wildwood crash.
