1 Injured in Lake Wildwood Hit-and-Run Crash at Pleasant Valley and Gold Country
NEVADA COUNTY, CA (September 11, 2021) – One was injured after a hit-and-run crash at Pleasant Valley Road and Gold Country Drive in Lake Wildwood.
The California Highway Patrol received a call about the incident on Saturday night. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck at about 8:20 p.m.
CHP said two pickup trucks collided for an unknown reason and went off the road in the Lake Wildwood area of Nevada County. The cars crashed at the intersection of Pleasant Valley Road and Gold Country Drive.
2 Cars Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Lake Wildwood Community Center. They found one person who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then treated the victim for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the accident. Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that one of the drivers involved fled the area. Officers forced the intersection of Pleasant Valley and Gold Country to shut down following the wreck.
The cause of the Lake Wildwood hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
