Pedestrian Injured in Lakeland Village Hit-and-Run at Grand Avenue and Case Street
LAKELAND VILLAGE, CA (November 28, 2021) – A pedestrian was hospitalized after a hit-and-run crash at Grand Avenue and Case Street in Lakeland Village.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident took place on Sunday night. Officers reported the incident at about 9:37 p.m.
CHP determined that a vehicle struck the pedestrian walking on the right shoulder in Lakeland Village. The driver hit the person for an unknown reason at the intersection of Grand Avenue and Case Street.
Victim Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Lake Elsinore. They found the victim left wounded as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to the Inland Valley Medical Center for treatment. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP believed that the motorist did not stop to help the victim and fled the area. Officers forced the corner of Grand Avenue and Case Street to shut down following the collision.
The cause of the Lakeland Village hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
