Major Injury Collision on Highway 29 Thursday Morning
LAKEPORT (September 6, 2018)- According to the California Highway Patrol, a major injury collision was reported this morning on Highway 29 at or near Highway 175 at roughly 7:59 a.m.
CHP officials responded to a collision initially involving three vehicles but then narrowed down to two cars described as a Mazda pickup truck and a second unknown vehicle.
Several Motorists Hospitalized With Serious Injuries
Parties in both vehicles were confirmed to have suffered injuries presumed to have been very serious as multiple parties were transported from the scene to a nearby hospital for immediate medical assistance.
Each of the vehicles was towed away due to the extensive damage incurred via the services of Jones Towing.
Details in regards to the cause of the collision and was exactly transpired as currently unclear at this time as an investigation team remains present at the scene as of 9:30 a.m.
According to CHP authorities, Highway 29 at Highway 175 was shut down for nearly an hour and a half during the investigation process before traffic was reopened.
