Rosemary Morgan and Catherine Smith Lakeport Car Accident
LAKEPORT (April 6, 2017)- According to the California Highway Patrol, a major injury collision took place on Highway 29 near Hill Road Thursday morning.
Two, possibly three vehicles were involved in the wreck which took place at roughly 7:05 a.m. tentatively between a gray Cadillac Escalade, a sedan, and one other vehicle.
At least one motorist suffered serious injuries following the collision who two others were moderately hurt, all whom were taken from the scene by ambulance and hospitalized.
There was speculation within the dispatch report that a dog may have been hit either causing the first collision or triggering a second incident just moments after the initial collision. Authorities are unclear whether the dog was in one of the vehicles involved in the crash or if it was a stray wondering across the highway.

Three motorists involved and transported to Sutter Lakeside Hospital were eventually identified as Rosemary Morgan, Faith Carter, and Catherine Smith.
No further details were provided within the report while the California Highway Patrol continues on with their investigation.
