Head-on Crash in Lakeside

LAKESIDE, Calif. (August 2, 2023) — A head-on car Accident happened Wednesday morning in Lakeside at Wildcat Canyon Road, just north of Willow Road in east San Diego County.

The two-vehicle collision occurred around 7:45 a.m. on August 2nd, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch report.

The drivers of a silver Hyundai Ioniq and a second vehicle were involved. A woman with children was in one of the two vehicles, but it’s unknown if they were among the injured.

Paramedics were sent to the scene to help those hurt and the northbound lanes were blocked by vehicles and crash debris for at least an hour.

Tow trucks removed the damaged vehicles from the roadway.

Police are heading up an investigation into the car accident on Wildcat Canyon Road in Lakeside.
