3 Injured After Car Crashes into Home on Winter Gardens Boulevard
SAN DIEGO COUNTY, Calif. (Feb. 12, 2024) — Three people suffered major injuries Monday after a car crashed into a home at Winter Gardens Boulevard and Sterling Hill Lane in Lakeside.
The solo-vehicle crash occurred at around 3:05 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 12th, according to the California Highway Patrol and Times of San Diego.
A 39-year-old El Cajon man with two male passengers were traveling together in a 2011 Buick Enclave southbound on Winter Gardens Boulevard. The driver reportedly lost control and went off the roadway near Sterling Hill Lane, the California Highway Patrol said. The vehicle slammed into a house in the 9000 block of Winter Gardens Boulevard and overturned.
Paramedics responded and located the driver and his two passengers, a 37-year-old El Cajon man and a 41-year-old El Cajon man, with major injuries.
Paramedics transported all three men by ambulance to Sharp Memorial Hospital, police said.
Authorities are working on the case and will determine if alcohol was a factor in the crash on Winter Gardens Boulevard, the report said.
