1 Injured in Lakeview DUI Hit-and-Run Crash at Ramona Expressway and 5th Street
LAKEVIEW, CA (October 8, 2021) – At least one was injured after a DUI hit-and-run crash at Ramona Expressway and 5th Street in Lakeview.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident happened on Friday night. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck at around 8:48 pm.
The incident took place when a white Lexus and three more vehicles collided in Lakeview. They crashed at the intersection of Ramona Expressway and 5th Street.
Multiple Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found a 2-year-old child in one of the cars involved. A female occupant complained of pain to her back as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then provided aid to the victim for the unspecified injuries. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded patient and her condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that one driver did not stop to help and fled the area. They added that they found beer cans inside a gray colored vehicle.
Officers forced the intersection of Ramona Expressway and 5th Street to shut down following the wreck. The Lakeview DUI hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
