LAKEWOOD, California (June 22, 2016) —A couple identified as Brian Urquia and Rosanna Williams were killed in a wrong-way crash Tuesday night at the intersection of Paramount and Del Amo boulevards, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The double fatal crash took place about 9:30 p,m, Police say the crash is under investigation to determine if alcohol was a factor in the crash. Both people in the second car died of their injuries at the scene of the crash.
ABC 7 has since identified the driver as 30-year-old Brian Urquia and his passenger as 20-year-old Rosanna Williams. Both were from Long Beach.
The wrong-way driver was hospitalized in stable condition. The unnamed motorist was under the influence and will be in line to face charges.
