2 Killed, 3 Injured in Lakewood Crash Near South Street and Gondar Avenue
LAKEWOOD, CA (June 4, 2021) – A car crash killed two people and injured three others near South Street and Gondar Avenue in Lakewood.
ABC 7 News and My News LA wrote that the fatal accident took place late Friday night. Officers reported the wreck shortly after 10 p.m.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said three vehicles collided for an unknown reason. They crashed near the intersection of South Street and Gondar Avenue.
Three Vehicles Collide in Lakewood
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene and confirmed that two parties died as a result of the collision. Three other individuals ended up hurt upon impact.
Medical personnel rushed one patient to a hospital in critical condition. The second person sustained moderate injuries while the third suffered minor wounds.
The names of the deceased and wounded victims have not been yet released. Meanwhile, officials forced forced a portion of South Street to shut down following the wreck.
The vehicles obtained extensive damage due to the collision. The cause of the Lakewood crash is still under investigation.
